No front plates? Must be nice.

You should totally wrap your roof in gloss black.
Also that Coupe doesn’t have any tints...in Texas...where the sun can try to melt you in the summer.

Target on Woodstock Road?
>God I feel like a Netstalker or something<
At least he won’t door-dent your car

I’m back in Georgia, hence the GA plate on the coupe, haven’t registered my car here. I had to get mine tinted, I survived the winter fine, but as soon as it started to get hot aka Feburary, I got it tinted.

Well, the car is still registered in Texas where they require front plates, but I don’t do front plates so I just didn’t put it on.
When I got the plates for the 1 I sent my friends this pic, and was like what’s the second plate for. I was going to put it on the 1, but it came without a mount, so I said to hell with it and drove it sans plates.

Yup, Target on woodstock.
I usually park in the very back of the lot, but I pulled in and saw it and was like I know what needs to be done here.

And probably no one said a thing, right?
Gotta love Texas!! Helping make America, America again :D

Nope, ran the M3 sans front plates for over 2 years with no problems. It was also only a $200 fine, I wasn’t too concerned.

I am amazed at how many things the US mandates that makes cars a more watered down more meh version of what they are in other markets.
Clear example is the red rear indicators, which just look lazy and for some reason beginning to be the norm.

I was in San Antonio, I also lived in corpus for a year. I’m back in Georgia now after I lost me job in oil.

The US doesn’t mandate red rear indicators, the EU mandates amber ones, but there is no such regulation in the US.

What have you been up to since?

Oh, I didn’t know that. And we do get M cars!

Looking for a job, hard to convince people that the skills I learned as a frac field engineer are transferable.

I know you get M cars in Mexico, hence why I posted the 1M with Mexican plates I saw. I texted it to one of my coworkers, someone who has a Mexican passport and is a car person, and was like I like the new car. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a 1M, he does have a V6 Mustang though.

I was a biochemist / engineer who convinced a Tier 1 auto supplier I knew more than enough to be a mechanical applications engineer. I focused on my core skill set rather than trying to convince them to history I learned so far was directly transferable... then again my pay check went up from the economic crap of 09-11 rather than down so I’m sure it’s harder to accept on your end. I’m up in salary now but I know where oil was when it was $100 a barrel.

The Mexican car market is a nice mix of European stuff and American stuff but sadly anything pre 1995 was pretty much horrid.

I got a pay cut when I was in oil after the 2014 crash, this future pay cut is going to be hard to stomach. I just had an interview for a job as a process engineer, and they seemed to like me so we shall see.

When I lived in San Antonio I’d regularly see euro cars with Mexican plates, it seems like you guys get a nice mix of cars.

Yup, from Peugeots to Powerstroke Super Dutys.
